Reservoir Engineer

Asher Hirshberg is a reservoir engineer who began his career in 2012 as a CPA at EKS&H accounting firm in Denver. He performed individual and partnership tax returns for private equity backed oil companies with domestic and international operations.

During his time as a CPA he earned a degree in petroleum engineering and interned at Wolf Resources as a landman. In 2017 Asher began working at Great Western Oil and Gas in Denver. While at Great Western, he worked on optimized spacing and deal valuation based in the DJ basin.

In 2018 Asher began working at Equinor with the A&D team, performing valuations on deals in the Bakken and Appalachia. Asher also worked on Equinor’s sale of its Bakken assets to Grayson Mill Energy.

Asher joined Covenant Royalties in September of 2022 to perform valuations of unconventional plays in North America. He earned a BS in Accounting and MS in Taxation at University of Denver and a BS in Petroleum Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. He currently holds an inactive CPA license in Colorado. In his spare time, Asher enjoys playing hockey, hunting, and working on his mobile app Rangetime.
